FLORAL CELEBRATIONS for
PARIS OLYMPICS
Paris – the host city of the 2024 Summer Olympics & Paralympics.
YUKA MIYATAKE was honored to create flower arrangements for the unveiling ceremony of the 2024 Olympic & Paralympic commemorative coins, taken place at the Embassy of France in Tokyo, Japan.
FLORAL & COLOR
INSPIRATIONS
In designing these arrangements, I sought to express the "festive spirit" and vibrant colors of the Paris Olympics' visual concept. With the aim of evoking an atmosphere filled with pure celebration and joy, I primarily used pink roses, a symbol of happiness.
Amidst the roses, delicate bouvardias appeared—flowers with a rich history, carefully cultivated over the years through the dedicated efforts of many horticulturists. Carrying meanings such as "communication," "fantasy," "dream," and "passion," these blossoms reflect an artistic spirit of blessing.
Delphiniums, known for their beautiful flower language of "scattering happiness," further enhanced my arrangement with their kaleidoscope of colors, adding a radiant layer to the joyful celebration.

The BEAUTY
of DIVERSITY
"Diversity" is another essential theme alongside the "festive spirit. " In discussing the history of French aesthetics, there is a profound concept known as "Art de Vivre," which means "life is art" and "living authentically." Just as this phrase suggests, flowers, being symbols of diverse beauty, constantly remind us of the joy found in respecting one another and cherishing individuality. From Paris, a city brimming with art, love, and esprit,
I eagerly anticipate more diverse stories of beauty being woven into the future for the world to discover.
